The right help, at the right time.
With a Master’s in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, I often get the question, “How am I different from a “regular” therapist?” The answer is, I can do everything a “regular” counselor can do, but in addition, at your request, I am uniquely qualified to provide a Biblical perspective in counseling. Christian counseling is very much like secular counseling—we listen, we observe, and we use time-tested models, theories, and techniques in psychology to help you find and employ the answers you need. However, Biblical Counseling has two major differences. First, no part of anything I counsel will ever be contrary to the Bible, period. Second, Biblical counselors have intensively studied every single book of the Bible—all 66 of them—so that we can offer God’s unique perspective in addition to psychology’s proven techniques. The Bible says, “All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness,” 2 Tim 3:16.
The goal of all Psychology is to identify problems, find and implement solutions, and follow-up. The bottom line is, I am just a passing part of your life, but your relationship with God will be with you forever! I aim to help you strengthen your relationship with Christ, seek his will for your life, and find solutions to your current situation through psychology.
